Also that, good point... Once you add in the (usually) terrible music and largely rubbish people, gotta start to wonder why people bother? :P

But I dislike most of the people in clubs, so why would I want to meet them? The kinda girl I like is as rubbish at meeting new people as me, sadly :( And there is always the internet - I have met a couple of girls from the internet and it was fun both times! Though no long term contact from either, sadly :(

There are about six clubs in a two block radius from where I live. Never liked them much, and although the sound is not that annoying, I like them less now.

On the one hand, the people at clubs are more outgoing and energetic. On the other, they're not likely to be the most intelligent bunch. Sometimes club music is better to dance to that other types, but you really have to be in the mood (or very drunk) and it's not really necessary to go more than once or twice a year...

You see I don;t even get the 'it's better for dancing' argument. I find the music is the worst thing - it literally makes me wanna curl up in a ball and die! No matter how drunk I am (in fact sometimes I get drunk enough to actually go into the corner and curl up if I'm not careful :P) it makes no real difference. Hey ho, I'll just stick to be a loser/loner recluse until something magical happens :P

@Thelevellers: The only alternative I know of is a rock venue, where there's a different style of dancing. Club music is repetitive, but at the same time it sounds very different in the club to how it would sound played normally at home. If you just go with the beat rather than criticising the poor composition of the music you may do better.

Lol, I wish I could get as far as critiquing the music! It's the repetitive beat at high volume that runs me off instantly, not an attitude thing... I have been told there is a rock club in Cov, but none of my workmates (the only people I know in Cov) are that up for going really. Also I don't really have the money :P
