Of course there are many types of chocolate, e.g. caramel and ginger. And it may be difficult to choose between the main types above. Technically my favourite is that with coffee in it, or similarly rich.

Dark chocolate, not 100% but 60-70% cocoa

I agree that dark is best, although I tend to have wholenut just as much because it seems a bit healthier. I have a friend who thinks white chocolate is best, but I don't think it really tastes like other chocolate at all. I do think this is a good question to ask someone though, as part of getting to know them, since it allows you to buy the right chocolate as a present for them. (:

I said wholenut, but actually fruit and nut is better IMHO... I'm not a big fan of super cocoa choc - not man enough for that :P

The best chocolate I found was Cappuccino Crunch from Tesco, but they (apparently) discontinued it. This happens with so many things, from cleaning fluids to chocolate - just when you find something that works and buy it regularly the product disappears.

Toblerone ftw, the regular one not the super-dark one. Truffles are also delicious, but a bit un-manly and expensive for regular consumption.

Toblerone does have those little crunchy bits of almonds in it...

At first I found the question inane, but Toblerone reminded me the Ferrero Rocher chocolates, those are sweet, tiny chocolate engineering treats. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Rocher-Layer-by-Layer.jpg

I don't think I'm a fan of Ferrero Rocher, but then they're so overpriced that no-one buys them and I never get to re-try them. The topic is still inane - there's little or no scope for debate here.

WHAT??? DO YOU DARE TO BELITTLE THE AMAZING FERRERO ROCHER CHOCOLATE MASTERWORKS!!!??? OK, there is really nothing to debate about chocolate, let's move on.

Nothing to see here.

OK, now someone brought it up, my vote is now firmly in the Ferrero Rocher camp! Especially as I was deprived as a child after my sister told me they were minty - I hated mint... It wasn't until I was 14 and a friend offered me one, and was highly confused by my uninterested 'I don;t like mint' response that I discovered the luscious joys of those little balls of nom!

Fooled since childhood, how cruel. It's like telling a little child that every ant he sees must be given a name.
