I'm after something you can still type on relatively well. Easy running of linux is a strong bonus, as is battery life. Performance unimportant, unless it's a complete brick :P Should be below £300. I'm currently leaning towards a Lenovo IdeaPad, has anyone used one?

I don't like netbooks, too small for my hands. And the little screen is uncomfortable as my sight is changing graduation.

Also, they are underpowered.

I've never even owned a laptop because there's little point having one when you've got a desktop PC. A netbook would be neat, but is really even more overpriced than a laptop is.

I have two laptops, but no netbooks, sorry.

I wasn't a fan of laptops, I was a desktop man all the way. I began to like laptops when my work required me to use a junk PC, and I refused and brought my own laptop instead. I rarely travel without it. Gave away my desktop for lack of use.
