DiscussionatorThe topic layout has been changed to make better use of empty space and to display properly on lower resolutions.

.. and if you want the old style, there's a nice configuration option (click your name in the top-left, then go to Settings). The new style is now the default layout for visitors and new users.

Overwhelming enthusiasm. (-: If you're using 1024×768 or similar then it should make a significant difference, at least for passing visitors. With the old layout there was a horizontal scrollbar which had never been intended to appear.

I believe I use a much larger layout then. Which is true 1440 x 990, so I never go the scroll bar.

I use 1280x800. It's very small vertically, so these changes are always welcome.

I'm at 1280x1024 and prefer the old one my self... I think I would appreciate it with a smaller screen tho, I did get a little irritated by the scroll bar when on some one else's smaller res screen... :)

The downside is that the buttons now leave even less space on the comments tab, which is bad when you have a low resolution to begin with. Why doesn't everyone have a nice, high resolution already? (-:

One very important advantage of that old computer is that it never overheats. It doesn't even have a CPU fan.
