PollIf I were a TV celebrity, I'd be valiant enough to wear a ugly clown sweater and pose for pictures for the Internet

Wil Wheaton (Star Trek's TNG Wesley Crusher) in a clown sweater, and not very happy about it: http://wilwheaton.typepad.com/wwdnbackup/2005/12/if_you_want_to_.html

That Wil Weathon has become an Internet celebrity, I tought his destiny would be the same of countless child stars, to dim away as they grew older.

I would definitely do it. That sweater rocks! (in all the wrongest ways!) There was a facinating (mostly cause it made me think about something I've never really considered before) programme on the BBC recently about the paparazzi. It really got me thinking about celebrity... The general consensus of the paps was that as celebrity's it is their job to be photographed and talked about, and while they may court it while promoting their latest film/show/album they can't just turn it off when it pleases them. Fair point, but how far can you take that?

I think your answer is measured in millions of dollars. If you want exorbitant quantities of money, you gotta whore the media. Media-whoring celebrities should lose the right to complain later though.
