typically I don't disagree with these opinions. But i constantly get 'witnesses' knocking on my door. I merely consider them brainwashed, but they are polite and they don't abuse my patience

borgus, is that you in the costume?

@Patofeo: I hate when religious drones are partially considerate, it makes it harder to shoo the away. Although, if they were truly considerate, they wouldn't insist on people who already said no, thank you.

@Patofeo: Oh, about the costume. It's a great picture PDXNick sent me by email. A guy and his girlfriend who cosplayed PedoBear and Loli. 100% win! The original link, in all its awesomeness: http://flickr.com/photos/sirberus/sets/72157608401752187/

The ones that visited me this week didn't say much at all, and although obviously religious they didn't identify themselves as Jehovah's witnesses. They gave me a leaflet which provides me with The Truth. In the past I've had lengthy doorstop debates with Jehovah's witnesses, and today I'm even more prepared with my questions and answers - so I miss the opportunity to try again.

or they are just stupid for letting their parents talk them into doing it... poor kids.

Dedicated. Dedicated is the word you're looking for. They will go out of their way to save you. (sadly, it seems as if a lot of them just do it because they're told to. At least they're polite) @pdxnick: Brainwashed, yes. Stupid, no. They've been told that they are "doing the right thing" their entire lives. And their parents think the same. It is rather sad.

I was going to scan in the leaflet they gave me, with The Truth on it... but I haven't got around to it and it's copyrighted besides. Needless to say, God is great. Does God really care about us? God never causes what is wicked, and cares about us so deeply that he has gone to great lengths to make the fulfilment of his purpose a certainty. My favourite... What happens to us when we die? At death, humans cease to exist. "The dead are conscious of nothing at all". Since the dead cannot know, feel, nor experience anything they cannot help or harm the living. Contradicted immediately by... Is there any hope for the dead? Most people who have died will be resurrected. Jesus promised... God's original purpose is that those resurrected as humans will... live on a paradise Earth, and they'll have perfect health and everlasting life (if obedient). The righteous will possess the Earth, and reside forever upon it.

This is so full of win: The FaceBook Genesis: http://www.collegehumor.com/article:1764710 Religion is such an easy target for mockery, it's awesome when someone takes the effort to mock it in a creative way.

One time me and a friend (who's agnostic/will do anything for a laugh much like me) decided to get a few laughs out of these Mormon conversion people who go door to door so we invited them in and decided to just improvise and mock them as we went along. Sadly when we sat them down and talked to them they turned out to be really good, charitable people. We still got a few laughs, but felt pretty bad about it.

I like it when they're completely oblivious to the fact that you're actually having an argument with them, which means they have no chance of converting you.

Someone I knew once hid behind the sofa when they came to the door... but someone he was living with let them in and gave them a cup of tea, with him behind them the whole time. Amusingly, he was eventually discovered and pretended that he'd been asleep the whole time.

@RudystillRules: Don't feel bad to mock them, it was God who wanted them to endure that test.

@Lee J Haywood: LOL, I bet the person who let them in did that intentionally.
