Sure, it's got giant robots, violence and unrealistically awesome boobs, but in the end it a good portion of the genre boils down to love and romance. I might be biased because I've just finished seeing "Midori no hibi" (Midori days), and besides a good anime series, it's got its romantic moments.

This avatar goes for good anime, which is rare.

Did I imagine a conversation about the Cookie Monster? I was sure it was on Discussionator, but it's nowhere to be found? http://www.vulomedia.com/images/82294cookie_monster_slayer.jpg

Excuse me, but what does the Cookie Monster has to do with anime? BTW, I remember that too. Maybe it was before the wipeout?

Maybe I just didn't have anything to say about anime? Although it's interesting to hear everyone pronounce it as ah-nee-may which are the sounds of the individual letters that make up the word, not the correct sound of the word itself, ah-neeme.

You tell me. I just accept when english speakers say An-toe-neeo instead of my name. I understand that some phonemes are simply too foreign to replicate.

So what's the correct pronunciation then?

If you replace "toe" by "to" as in "toddler", and "nee by "ni" as in "nip", it's almost there. Antonio is a three-syllable word in Spanish, An-to-nio, with emphasis in the second syllable.

You didn't appreciate all the effort I went to to find someone saying your name (well, actually 'San Antonio', but it was on short notice)? (-:
