PollIn the future, humans will have replaced food with food pills, sleep with sleep pills and fucking with orgasm pills.

I doubt sex will be replaced with orgasm pills, but people will sure as hell want such pills anyways.

Sleep pills FTW!

@Nevermore: Should I know what that means?

@Korinthian: mdma = ecstasy

@Nevermore: Ah. But E doesn't give you an orgasm, or raves would be much messier.

there are plenty of drugs out there already that will make you feel better than an orgasm, but people still fuck so fucking is here to stay. the most plausible of the three is sleep pills, because most people are little worker bees who sleep 6 hours a night and don't appreciate how much better sleep is than being awake.

I would hate to take a pill to replace sex or sleeping.

@Nevermore: But I bet you'd like the possibility to be able to replace a night of sleep with a pill.

With the food replacement pill we would eventually lose our lunch breaks to have more time for productivity. With the sleeping replacement pills, 40 hours would no long be considered full-time. What's the point? I can see the food replacement pills as a new fad diet.

They have in fact found a chemical that removes the need to sleep, for a while at least. But who knows what we will miss out on if we take it over an extended period of time.

@Korinthian: yes, every now and then.

@Nevermore: They would never be mandatory. The workaholics might offer their life as employer added value, but the rest of us can claim that we don't use the pills when in fact we do.

Add an exercise pill too.

@BorgClown: I bet somewhere down the line they would be mandatory. Society is obsessed with increasing productivity.

I would definitely take an exercise pill, though!

@Nevermore: yes! that is what we need. and a "proper diet" pill to be taken alongside whatever junk food you wish to consume.

@Beeba: I read lately that there's a lose-fat pill in the workings. Not a do-not-store-fat, but a get-thinner one.
