DiscussionatorWhen someone creates a Discussionator topic but uses a different topic type, it should be fixed every time.

Moderation already? I'm all for it.

Would the admin change it, or would it be the users?

It's going to be a pain for me to go back over Discussionator topics if they're all over the place. And some people will want to see opinions only - having site rubbish in there is just littering the place.

Perhaps people could mark them as 'wrong type' and then I'd come along later to fix them. Perhaps Agree / Disagree actually makes sense on Discussionator types?

I suppose we could crowd moderate, marking them as "Other"

I don't think it makes sense to vote on Discussionator topics, next time we will want polls and whatnot. The rating is enough, the admin should focus on reading the best rates Discussionator topics.

*rated

The list of topics is already completely swamped with site-specific crap - no new user is going to want to see it all. I want to exclude Discussionator topics for people that aren't logged in (and only show the topics with higher ratings) but that only makes sense if I go back and correct bad categorisations.

Or we can just mark them.

The less manual work you place upon yourself, the better. Maybe we could crowd-recategorize topics just as we can mark them right now.

In the future, I mean.

That would only work if you could specify the correct type, and I don't want to mess around too much with it. I'll think about it overnight.
