OpinionPalin's pregnant teen daughter is a topic you can talk about because Palin is against any form of abortion.

Any topic is one which you can talk about, but I disagreed because I felt the spirit of the opinion was that Bristol's pregnancy could be used against her mother politically. If you really feel that way, then you are against the whole 'right to privacy, it's my body' philosophy of the pro-choice movement.

I was forced to agree simply because Palin's position in the spotlight has affected her entire family, no matter what their wishes might be. I don't agree with the media harassing the family, but there's no reason why people shouldn't discuss the issue if it's relevant.

It's just ironic. A joke. doubly so if this is her second kid.

it's an important issue because one of palin's platforms is 'abstinence-only sex ed' which is deluded and dangerous. much like the rest of the GOP

Family should be off-limits.

If it looks like hypocrisy, then I think it is something worth mentioning. I mean, it is not like Palin didn't know that it would get dragged into the news when she accepted the position of McCain's running mate. So if anyone is to blame for this, it's her.

I think she more than made up for it with her speech, though. And McCain's ratings are overall better now than before he chose her for his VP.

I love how all the republicans berated others for bringing it up when republicans are known to get their nose into other people's business on personal issues like teen pregnancy, sexuality and such.

@Korinthian: Democrats are just as guilty.

@Bensci: Not in those areas. But I find it more interesting to discuss how Palin ran things up in Alaska. Wanting to ban books? Firing people to the left and right just because they wouldn't agree with her? If that is any indication on how she will run the country when McCain dies, we are in big trouble should they win.

I think it's OK for several reasons: The best one is her promotion of "Abstinence only" "Education", the next one is her "Pro-Life" BS viewpoint. She is dangerous to anyone who is thinking clear. And if anyone says: "You just say that 'cause she's a girl!" I'm gonna start puking.

In the words of Craig Ferguson -They put their family out there to promote themselves, and then say they are off limits to talk about. Hypocrites!
